Hi, I'm Eileen.
I'm a working writer, certified Pilates teacher, and Integrative Somatic Practitioner.
For years, I believed the creative hustle was simply part of the job. Long hours. Tight deadlines. Too much coffee. A body that always seemed to come last.
I thought feeling exhausted, tense, and disconnected was just the price of doing work I loved. Writing rooms, tight network deadlines, the pressure of getting pages in on time, it all trains you to treat your body like an afterthought.
It wasn't.
I created Body of Work because I couldn't find a movement practice that truly understood the demands of creative work. I needed something that supported the way writers, creatives, and desk-bound professionals actually live, not another workout that left me feeling depleted. It became the practice I wish I'd had while writing for Netflix, HBO, Nickelodeon, and Sony, the years when I was living entirely in my head and forgetting I had a body at all.
I first shared this practice with the writers at my Eat Play Write retreat in Greece, and watching what happened was remarkable. People moved more easily, wrote with more clarity, and kept asking how they could continue once they got home. That's what inspired me to bring Body of Work Live to Zoom.
Today, Body of Work blends Pilates, somatic movement, and mobility to help regulate the nervous system, undo the effects of desk life, and help you feel stronger, calmer, and more at home in your body.
Because your best work doesn't come from pushing through. It comes from a body that feels supported and a nervous system that has room to breathe.
If you're a writer, creative, or simply someone who spends most of the day at a desk, you're in the right place.
I'm so glad you're here.
what it’s like to work with me
Whether it’s with my long-standing Pilates clients, at my Retreat, or inside Body of Work, my goal is always the same: to help you feel stronger, more at home in your body, and supported in a way that fits your life.
“I worked with Eileen for over 8 years, and she always continued to inspire me and make me look forward to doing Pilates with her. It’s such an important form of exercise for all ages. Eileen put me through everything from cardio to toning and stretching. And I love how she works, her practice is so individualized.”

“Eileen was my private pilates instructor, both in person and virtually, for 6 years. She’s an exceptional teacher, striking the right balance of pushing me and ensuring that no two sessions were ever the same. As someone who has suffered from several injuries, Eileen was always attentive to my body’s needs, and to boot, she is one of the nicest humans I've ever met. Can't recommend her enough!!”
— Sean Brecker: CFO, Ōura (+ Headspace)
“Eileen helped us open our most popular studio in Santa Monica, and she was one of the most popular instructors for her fun and engaging classes. She was also a favorite for private sessions, and there was always a waitlist to see Eileen, in thanks to her nurturing nature, along with her challenging and fun sessions.”
