Hi, I'm Eileen.
I’m a creative at heart who has always loved fitness. For over a decade I ran a thriving private Pilates practice — movement was so naturally integrated into my every day life.
Then I landed my dream job as a TV writer. And I quickly found out that a body used to moving all day does not love sitting at a desk for twelve hours instead.
At first, I believed the creative hustle was simply part of the job. Long hours. Tight deadlines. Too much coffee. A body that always seemed to come last. Writing rooms, tight network deadlines, the pressure of getting pages in on time — it all trains you to treat your body like an afterthought, and I thought feeling exhausted, tense, and dysregulated was just the price of doing the creative work I loved.
But that price kept adding up, until my body finally made it impossible to ignore.
So I started bringing Pilates back into my life, but different this time. I got certified as an integrative somatic practitioner, learned tools to regulate my nervous system, and layered in strength training and other movement modalities I love.
I piloted this blend at my Eat Play Write retreat in Crete and the writers loved it! Today, Body of Work blends Pilates, somatic movement, mobility, and strength training to undo the effects of desk life and help you feel stronger, calmer, and more at home in your body.
Because your best work doesn't come from pushing through. It comes from a body that feels supported and a nervous system that has room to breathe.
If you're a writer, creative, or simply someone who spends most of the day at a desk, you're in the right place. I'm so glad you're here.

praise from past pilates clients
From my past Pilates clients — a little of what it's like to work with me.
“I worked with Eileen for over 8 years, and she always continued to inspire me and make me look forward to doing Pilates with her. It’s such an important form of exercise for all ages. Eileen put me through everything from cardio to toning and stretching. And I love how she works, her practice is so individualized.”

“Eileen was my private pilates instructor, both in person and virtually, for 6 years. She’s an exceptional teacher, striking the right balance of pushing me and ensuring that no two sessions were ever the same. As someone who has suffered from several injuries, Eileen was always attentive to my body’s needs, and to boot, she is one of the nicest humans I've ever met. Can't recommend her enough!!”

“Eileen helped us open our most popular studio in Santa Monica, and she was one of the most popular instructors for her fun and engaging classes. She was also a favorite for private sessions, and there was always a waitlist to see Eileen, in thanks to her nurturing nature, along with her challenging and fun sessions.”
